Social Emotional Learning

This interactive session explores best practices for integrating Social Emotional Learning into classrooms with English Learners, emphasizing the CASEL framework. Participants will engage in hands-on activities to develop strategies that foster self-awareness, empathy, and relationship skills among multicultural students. Attendees will leave with practical tools to create inclusive environments that support both the emotional well-being and academic success of EL students.

Ashley Kazery

Ashley Kazery, Ed.D.

Dr. Ashley Kazery is a passionate educator with over 18 years of experience in public education, serving in roles ranging from classroom teacher to instructional coach, curriculum coordinator, and state ELA director. She currently serves as Assistant Principal at Clinton High School and has previously worked as an assistant professor at the University of Southern Mississippi. Dr. Kazery holds a doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction from Mississippi College and is dedicated to supporting student growth and teacher development. A lifelong learner and advocate for quality instruction, she brings a wealth of experience in literacy, instructional coaching, and professional development. She lives in Clinton with her husband, a college professor, and their son Jaden.
